Now in the 10th year of this administration, the school system continues to achieve what all school systems strive for – consistent progress in raising student achievement. Finding ways to be successful is the basic tenet of our Blueprint for Progress, thefoundational document we developed in 2000. Primary among these is the principle that all means all; we are dedicated to the success of every student, every classroom, and every school. Following that principle, Baltimore County Public Schools creates a culture of high expectations and rigorous instruction. We use proven strategies and technology to engage our students today, as we develop the next generation of innovators and leaders. Key to our success is the recognition that diversity is a powerful gift. With schools in rural, suburban, and urban community settings, students and staff reflect the experience, cultures, languages, and abilities known throughout our nation. Size and diversity position Baltimore County Public Schools to offer a wide range of academic and enrichment opportunities.
